A Grangefields Wedding Film in August

Grangefields Weddings by Season
Grangefield’s can offer a completely different vibe depending on the time of year. We’ve shot there lots of times across all seasons. Here’s a few examples for you to help you on your wedding planning journey!
Grangefields in April
It’s starting to get lighter in the evening, it can be nice weather to spend time in the courtyard whilst not being too cold but also means it’s dark for sparklers later on.
Grangefields in August
The field’s at the back of the courtyard will be perfect for couples in terms of the season. Most likely to get good golden hour at this time of year. Lot’s of people will be out in the courtyard enjoying the outside space. Lawn games will do well! As will the fire pits.
Grangefields in September
Access to the fields is still possible, but a bit more grown out. September generally tends to be dry for weddings. Lots of opportunities for outdoor shots!
Grangefields in December
The Sun sets early! So make sure your ceremony time is no later than 1pm if you want outdoor shots. The fields tend to be too wet at this point but there’s loads of photo opportunities around the venue. You can also get winter golden hour!
Ideas for Couple’s Portraits
If you’ve booked or thinking of booking Grangefields for your Wedding, then here’s a few ideas for couple’s portrait locations.
The Courtyard
The backdrop of the red brick, the festoons lighting up and the trees all tie in together perfectly for couples portraits. Check out our Grangefields Weddings Blogs for more inspiration and ideas.
The Ceremony Space
The Classic shot that lots of couples love. You can do this in the day or evening, but evening adds a bit more magic to it with the candlelight. If you want this shot, let us know and Grangefields to keep the candles lit. Time of year of your wedding will matter if you want it fully dark.
The Fields
The fields vary in look depending on the time of year. They look the best and are less wet during summer months (mostly). They are perfect for taking some time out to do a few walking shots and have a little moment with each other.
Ideas for Group Photos
We love doing group photos and there’s definitely a place for having lovely group photos ticked off the list. Here’s a few ideas for you!
The Whole Group Shot
The best spot for the full group shot is on the dining room veranda. It’s a tried and tested spot but makes it super nice and easy for your guests to get in place and keep the process short and sweet!
The Outdoor Space
We love mixing it up whether it’s doing group photos in the courtyard, on the gravel lane or by the brick walls. There’s so many great options whether you’ve got a big or small group to capture. We often do family groups in the courtyard then wedding party elsewhere.
When It’s Bad Weather
If it rains or it’s too cold or windy then the ceremony space is perfect for group pictures. With the use of flash and a very organised approach, we will still get those lovely group shots. We also use this as an option for anyone elderly or disabled that might find it harder to get outside.
Ideas for Confetti Shots
So the rules are; It’s fresh petals only! But you can still have several options in terms of locations for your confetti shots. You can also have it indoors should weather not be in your favour.
Outside toward the Dining Room
Most often couples use this location, which works really well. We always recommend lots and lots and lots of fresh petals as they don’t always float as well as dried.
Inside After your Ceremony
The joy is that you can also have your confetti indoors if the weather turns! Not every venue offers this so it’s a great option for winter weddings.
Outdoors by The Ceremony Barn
You can also opt for a different outdoor location by the side of the ceremony barn. It offers a completely different backdrop if it’s something you’d prefer.
